Symptoms
The green front-wheel lights on the Super Select display keep flashing in 2H, or the van won't fully engage or release 4WD. A flashing yellow centre light is a different fault.
The fix, step by step
- First try backing up a few van lengths and shifting in and out of 4H.
- Then check the vacuum hoses and the vacuum can at the front diff for cracks or loose hoses.
- Delica Canada's Big-Bird says the most common cause is the pair of vacuum solenoids behind the engine-bay fuse box: test them for resistance and vacuum hold, and clean or replace them.
- One owner's dealer fixed it by cleaning a gummed-up solenoid.
- If the lights still flash, check that the front-diff actuator rod moves freely.
- A flashing yellow centre-diff light means one of the five shift-position switches on the transfer case is failing.
