Fluids, capacities & service intervals
Most Turbo Ds have spent years in storage, so treat every fluid as unknown. Two things are unusual: the wheel drives take a polyglycol gear oil that doesn't mix with mineral or ordinary synthetic oils, and each diff and box has two plugs, with the lower one as the fill level. Owners also stress that 716/718 specs differ from the 710/712, so use a Turbo D manual.
