Symptoms
Red dust on the clean side of the filter, MAF faults, limp mode and, in bad cases, a failed right-hand turbo.
The fix, step by step
- Pop the airbox lid and check under the filter.
- Some mechanics grease the filter's sealing surface, but Unsealed would fit an aftermarket airbox that seals properly.
- If dust has got in, clean the MAF and check the turbo for shaft play.
