The fix, step by step
- On 2024 trucks with the auxiliary switch package, the relay control wire may be trapped under a fastener, damaging its insulation and risking a short and fire.
- Dealers inspect and secure the wire, repairing or replacing damaged wiring.
- Do this before adding lights or fridges to the auxiliary circuits.
