Fluids, capacities & service intervals

The P38 rewards a full catch-up service more than almost any other Range Rover. Overheating causes the V8's slipped liners, and neglected EAS and gearbox fluid cause most of the expensive failures. Change every fluid, refresh the cooling system, and leak-test the air suspension before you trust it. Note whether the engine is a GEMS (1995–98) or Bosch (1999–2002) V8, because some parts differ.
