Symptoms
One corner drops after parking, cracked or bulging bellows when the truck is at full height, or EAS faults that come back after you clear them.
The fix, step by step
- Raise the truck and support the chassis securely on stands.
- Never leave it resting on a deflated spring.
- Depressurise the spring (the system runs at about 10 bar / 150 psi), clean around the fitting, and cap the line.
- Release the spring's retaining clips and fixings and swap in the new spring.
- Lower the chassis onto it and refit the clips.
- Reconnect the line, reinflate, and leak-test with soapy water.
- Off-roaders often choose uprated springs such as Arnott's Gen III.
