Laggy throttle at rolling stops

DIFFICULTY 1 / 5TIME ≈ 5 minutesCOST Free

Symptoms

Delayed or missing throttle response pulling out of a rolling stop on 2024 trucks. Owners say it's worse in Sport and Sport+.

The fix, step by step

  1. Owners traced it to the pre-collision system limiting torque.
  2. As an interim fix, set PCS to its shortest warning distance, one green bar, in the gauge-cluster menu.
  3. Turning PCS off removes the lag but also disables a key safety system.
  4. Ask your dealer about software updates.

Rated for a competent home mechanic with a decent tool kit.
