Symptoms
The factory underbody protection on most LX 600s isn't trail-ready. The LX 700h Overtrail is the exception, with a steel skid from the factory.
The fix, step by step
- Bolt the aftermarket skid to the frame mounts, and change the front diff fluid while you're under there.
- One owner fitting Slee's skid to an F Sport found that a bracket didn't line up with the tow-hook points, likely because of the F Sport's different bumper and chassis vibration damper.
- Confirm fitment for your grade before you start.
