Symptoms
Check engine light with P2440, P2442, P2445 and/or P0418, sometimes with limp mode.
The fix, step by step
- The pump's foam filter breaks down, and the pump shreds it and blows debris into the air injection valves.
- Replace the pump and both valves with Lexus's redesigned parts.
- The pump sits behind the front right headlight.
- GXOR describes a temporary way out of limp mode: unplug the pump and clear codes.
- The check engine light comes back, but limp mode stays off.
