Driver's-side windshield rattle

DIFFICULTY 1 / 5TIME ≈ 30 minutesCOST Free; a little foam

Symptoms

A rattle at the bottom corner of the windshield.

The fix, step by step

  1. Two owners traced it to leaves trapped under the hood near the hinge and in the well where the wiper linkage connects.
  2. Open the hood, vacuum out the debris, and fit a strip of foam to keep leaves from getting back in.
