Symptoms
Service due, an 'Engine Oil Low' message, or the first break-in change. Towing and camper weight are good reasons to shorten intervals.
The fix, step by step
- This is the same job as on the wagon.
- Put the hood in its maintenance position and remove the engine cover.
- The canister filter housing is on top of the engine.
- Undo it with a 32 mm socket and replace the element and O-ring.
- Drain the sump, fit a new drain-plug washer, refill and check the level in the vehicle menu.
