Cabin air filter

DIFFICULTY 1 / 5TIME ≈ 5–10 minutes once you know the trickCOST About $18 aftermarket

Symptoms

Weak airflow or a musty smell, especially after dusty trips.

The fix, step by step

  1. This is the same as on the wagon.
  2. On a left-hand-drive truck, slide the passenger seat back, recline it and lie in the footwell with a headlamp.
  3. Unsnap the two clips under the filter frame, let the hinged plate swing down, pull the old filter out and fit the new one with the airflow arrow toward the cabin.
