Fluids, capacities & service intervals

A used sixth-gen is new enough that recalls matter more than wear, so start with NHTSA's VIN lookup. Then baseline the fluids owners skip, the axles and transfer case, and check the 2.7's oil level against the dipstick, because Ford's published capacities have been inconsistent.
