Symptoms

The fix, step by step

  1. Look over every panel in daylight for crazing and delamination.
  2. Affected 2021-on tops were replaced with MIC 2.0 tops under Ford's August 2021 customer-satisfaction program, and recall 26V-299 (2021–22) covers roof panels whose outer skin can separate on the road; owners were notified in May 2026, and the remedy is expected in November 2026.
  3. For leaks, remove each panel, clean the seals and sealing faces, check that no seal is pinched or folded, and refit, latching the panels in the order the owner's manual shows.
