No visible symptom until it snaps. It's a service item on early 1.3 Jimnys, which are exactly the trucks now eligible for US import.
The fix, step by step
- Suzuki's interval for the G13BB belt (part 12761-70C00) is 100,000 km.
- With no receipt, change the belt and tensioner on arrival, and do the water pump at the same time.
- The M13A that replaced it uses a chain and doesn't need this.
