Symptoms
The original vacuum wipers on an 800 are dead, sluggish or simply not worth rebuilding.
The fix, step by step
- IH Parts America's bolt-in kit mounts below the windshield where the vacuum motors were.
- One two-speed, self-parking 12-volt motor drives both arms through a linkage, and the kit is designed to clear the original gauges, radio, speaker and glove box.
- Remove the vacuum motors and linkage, fit the brackets and bushings, mount the motor, run power through the new switch, and fit the arms and blades.
- The optional deluxe switch adds intermittent and washer functions.
- The Scout 80's top-mounted wipers are a different design, so check fitment before ordering.
