The fix, step by step
- First identify your distributor, because Super Scout Specialists sells different Pertronix Ignitor modules for the Holley and Delco distributors used on the fours.
- Pull the cap and rotor, remove the points and condenser, fit the Ignitor to the breaker plate, and wire it to the coil as the instructions show.
- Set the timing with a light.
- A complete HFI distributor is the alternative if the shaft or bushings are worn.
