Symptoms
The rearview camera freezes or goes blank in reverse on trucks with Panoramic View Monitor (25V-744, 2024–2025). The instrument cluster may not show some warnings or indicators (26V-341, 2024). The load-carrying-capacity modification label may show the wrong values (26V-179, 2024–2025).
The fix, step by step
- Run the VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or lexus.com/recall.
- NHTSA's records give the remedies.
- For 25V-744, dealers update the parking-assist software (Lexus 25LB06).
- For 26V-341, the combination-meter software is updated over the air (Lexus 26LA06/26LB06).
- For 26V-179, dealers replace the label (Lexus 26LA04/26LB04).
- Note that NHTSA's database lists the truck as model 'GX', so a search for 'GX 550' can come back empty.
- The Lexus schedule also checks for available over-the-air software updates at every service.
