Front-axle harness recall (23V097)

DIFFICULTY 1 / 5TIME Dealer visitCOST Free under recall

Symptoms

ABS and stability-control warnings; on affected 2019–2021 trucks the front-axle wiring harness can rub through against the auxiliary oil cooler.

The fix, step by step

  1. Run the VIN through NHTSA or Mercedes (MBUSA campaign 2023030005).
  2. The dealer inspects the harness, sleeves it or replaces it.
  3. If you’re underneath anyway, look at the harness routing near the cooler for chafe marks.
