Fluids, capacities & service intervals

Assume nothing was done. A 1996–1997 LX 450 is at least 28 years old, and IH8MUD and Expedition Portal regulars rate service records above mileage. Change every fluid, repack the knuckles and inspect the cooling system in your first weekend. That gives you a known baseline and the best early warning of head-gasket or knuckle trouble.
