Land Cruiser FJ25 biggest tire size: stock and lifted

The biggest tire owners run on a Toyota Land Cruiser J20 / J25 (FJ25) at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.

The short answer

There's no forum consensus for the FJ25, and the bigger problem is wheels. Restored trucks on Bring a Trailer have worn 6.00-16 military-style tires, and one 1959 ran 265/75R16 all-terrains on its 16-inch steel wheels. IH8MUD members warn that 15-inch disc-brake wheels hit the FJ25's tie-rod ends and 15-inch drum wheels won't clear the drum rivets. Stay with 16-inch wheels and a period-sized tire unless you want to start modifying the truck.
