Fluids, capacities & service intervals

Most H2s are now 17 to 23 years old, and few were serviced off-road. Treat every gear oil as unknown. The rear diff carries the E-locker, the transfer case is easy to neglect, and the front end needs grease. Fluids changed in 2008: the owner's manual lists DEXRON-III for the transmission and transfer case on a 2004, and DEXRON-VI on a 2008.
