Grenadier Quartermaster years to avoid, and the best years to buy
Every Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster model year: which ones owners and specialists recommend, which have documented problems, which carry recalls, and what they sell for now.
The engines haven't changed, so the main question is steering. MY2026 trucks have the variable-ratio box, about a 5% tighter turning circle, better HVAC and a quicker way to silence the speed-limit chime. Earlier trucks can be fitted with Owl's steering pump upgrade, which Owl says fits both the Grenadier and Quartermaster. Whichever year you buy, run the VIN for recalls. GearJunkie, which drove both, says the Quartermaster got the same 2026 updates and that with the new steering the long-wheelbase truck drives almost like a normal pickup.
