AHC leak inspection

DIFFICULTY 2 / 5TIME ≈ 1 hour to inspectCOST Inspection is free. Leaking actuators, accumulators or lines are parts plus labor.

Symptoms

Wet hydraulic fluid at line junctions or actuators, uneven leveling, a sagging corner or a harsh ride.

The fix, step by step

  1. Use the Toyota leak-point diagram in IH8MUD's LX570 AHC sticky.
  2. Look up under the running boards at each corner, at the accumulator globes and at the line junctions.
  3. Cycle through Low, Normal and High and watch each corner respond.
  4. Use Techstream or a similar scan tool to read AHC pressures and codes before replacing parts.
