The fix, step by step
- CarSpec found the crack where the flange is welded to the first pipe of the manifold.
- The fix is a new manifold assembly.
- The engine mounts have to be released and the engine raised to reach the lower studs, and rusted fasteners are the main fight.
- Rule out loose spark plugs first.
