The fix, step by step
- Work in small sections.
- Replace the boot floor and its support, fabricate or buy the lips it sits on, and replace sills with box section (owners make their own and buy mounts separately) or pressed repair panels.
- Treat and protect everything you can reach while the floor is out.
- If the chassis itself is thin, galvanised replacements are available.
