Soft or holed floors, often found with rotten body mounts on 1979–84 trucks.
The fix, step by step
- Pull the seats and floor mats, cut back to clean metal, fit and clamp the reproduction pan, and weld it in.
- IH8MUD's old-school advice: cut out the rust, weld in steel, and use filler only to smooth the surface.
- Seam-seal and paint underneath before refitting.
