The fix, step by step
- The stock 130–150 A alternator sits low and catches mud and dust.
- Rinse it with a low-pressure hose after every trip.
- If you've added big lithium systems, Unsealed says to fit a bigger alternator, such as a 240 A Jaylec unit or a sealed one, and to use a proper DC-DC charger.
