Symptoms
Wet footwells, rust bubbling around the windscreen frame, water tracking down the A-pillars. Handsome Motors names the windshield gasket perimeter as a classic G rust zone.
The fix, step by step
- Water-test with a hose and a helper.
- Reseal the wiper spindles with a new washer kit.
- If the leak is at the windscreen, the glass has to come out to fit a new gasket.
- Treat the frame properly while it's exposed, because rust there only spreads.
- Expedition Imports sells the floor drain kit that's common on 461 trucks and can be retrofitted to a 460, so make sure the floor drains are clear and fitted.
