Symptoms
On affected G 280 CDI and G 300 CDI trucks built from 4 April 2016 to 13 September 2021: power loss or drivetrain failure caused by the cardan shaft striking the clamping body.
The fix, step by step
- Give the VIN to a Mercedes-Benz dealer and ask whether the cardan-shaft recall is open.
- If it is, book it in before using the truck hard.
- Keep the paperwork, because buyers will ask.
