Jeep Wrangler LJ Unlimited biggest tire size: stock and lifted
The biggest tire owners run on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.
The LJ uses the TJ's axles, flares and suspension, so the TJ answer applies: Four Wheel Trends puts the stock-suspension limit at about a 31x10.50, which may still rub at full flex until you add a washer or two to the steering stops. Jeep itself sent the Rubicon Unlimited out on LT245/75R16 (about 31-inch) tires at stock height. For 33s, plan on a lift; Quadratec's buyer's guide pairs 33s with a 3-inch-class suspension lift.

2–4 inches clears 33s. Above 2 inches, budget for an adjustable track bar, alignment correction and an SYE with a CV driveshaft.
The long rear overhang and the plastic corners are what get hurt. Steel rear corners and rocker sliders are standard trail kit.
