W460 G-Wagon biggest tire size: stock and lifted

The biggest tire owners run on a Mercedes-Benz G-Class W460 at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.

The short answer

About a 32-inch 235/85R16 on the stock steel wheels. An Expedition Portal owner of a short-wheelbase diesel G runs 235/85R16s on standard steel wheels and reports they work well on and off road. The original fitment was a skinny 205 R16, and another owner whose truck came on 215/85R16s is sticking with that size. For 33s and up, plan on lift springs.
