Square Body Suburban 4x4 biggest tire size: stock and lifted
The biggest tire owners run on a Chevrolet/GMC Suburban (1973–1991 square body) at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.
On a half-ton, 31x10.50R15s are the safe choice: GMSquarebody owners of a 1987 Suburban 4x4 and a 1987 short-box report no rubbing at all. 33x10.50s on factory rims also work. A moderator ran 33x12.50s on a stock three-quarter-ton Suburban with no rubbing, but says a half-ton will almost certainly need trimming. On CK5, owners of the related half-ton K5 Blazer call 32s safe and say 33s rub at full lock.

Lift kits, wheels and tires for the Square Body Suburban 4x4
Most Suburbans sag. New springs set the ride height, and 3–4 inches clears 33s. ORD sells both custom-arc and budget kits for 1973–91 trucks.
A heavy wagon on big tires needs lower gearing. ORD's Magnum Underdrive adds a lower range ahead of the transfer case.
Fitment comes from owners and specialists; wheel width, offset, trimming and bump stops change what fits. Check clearance at full lock and full flex before you buy. Some links are affiliate links.
