DIY repair · Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90

Front pads and rotors, using 4Runner interchange

DIFFICULTY 2 / 5TIME ≈ 2 hoursCOST Pads and rotors; IH8MUD members source them in the US

Symptoms

Pulsing pedal, grooved or thin rotors, squealing pads.

The fix, step by step

  1. IH8MUD's 90 Series FAQ confirms the front rotor is Toyota 43512-35210, as used on 1995–2002 V6 4Runners and Tacomas.
  2. Make sure you get the larger V6 rotor, because four-cylinder 4Runners used a smaller one that won't fit.
  3. Members list the rear rotors as 42431-60200/-60201, the same as the 80 Series.
  4. Remove the caliper, hang it, swap the rotor and pads, clean and grease the slides, and bed in the pads.
