Symptoms
Check-engine light with P2004, P2005 or P2006; sometimes a lumpy idle or flat spot. The operating lever on the flap shaft breaks.
The fix, step by step
- Repair kits for the lever exist, but FCP Euro recommends replacing the complete manifold assembly because the flaps can also fail internally and send pieces into the cylinders.
- Remove the engine cover and air intake, disconnect the throttle body and sensors, unbolt the manifold, fit the new one with new gaskets, and clear the codes.
