Lexus LX 600 years to avoid, and the best years to buy
Every Lexus LX 600 model year: which ones owners and specialists recommend, which have documented problems, which carry recalls, and what they sell for now.
Too new for a consensus. 2022–2024 trucks are the ones with paperwork to check: engine recalls 24V-381 and 25V-767, plus a neutral-rollaway software recall. NHTSA doesn't list those engine recalls for 2025, but 2025–2026 trucks have their own transmission-ECU software recall (26V-094). Whichever year, run the VIN.

Lexus LX 600 year by year
| YEAR | VERDICT | WHAT CHANGED |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | — | Revealed October 13, 2021 on the GA-F platform: V35A 3.4 twin-turbo V6 (409 hp, 479 lb-ft), 10-speed automatic, 441 lb lighter than the LX 570. Standard, Premium, Luxury, F Sport and four-seat Ultra Luxury grades. |
| 2022–2024 | Beware | Engine recalls 24V-381 and 25V-767 cover main-bearing debris. Owners also report a clunk into first on rolling stops. |
| 2024 | — | Largely a carryover. Lexus's 2024 release lists Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard and an F Sport Handling grade with 22-in forged wheels and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential. |
| 2025 | — | LX 700h hybrid joins the range, including the Overtrail with front and rear lockers plus the center lock (revealed October 10, 2024). 2025 trucks are outside the V35A engine recalls but have their own transmission-ECU recall (26V-094). |
| 2027 | — | Minor updates: darker 20-in wheels and a digital mirror on Premium, red calipers and Palomino leather on F Sport Handling, and power-folding rear seats on F Sport Handling and Overtrail. |
“Sweet spot” means owners and specialists recommend those years; “Beware” means documented problems; “Recall” means check the recall was done rather than walk away.
