G550 G-Wagon biggest tire size: stock and lifted
The biggest tire owners run on a Mercedes-Benz G 550 at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.
About 33 inches — a 275/70R18 on 18-inch wheels. A 2014 G 550 owner on Expedition Portal ran BFGoodrich KO2s in that size at stock height with no rubbing at full flex, and a G 500 owner rubbed only on aftermarket ET63-offset wheels (ET43 was fine). A 285/65R18 can rub slightly at full left lock; a 265/65R18 (about 31.6 in) fits with room to spare. Later trucks came on 19s–21s, and owners warn 18s don’t clear every caliper — check before buying wheels, and have the tire size re-coded.

| 4 in (100 mm) | 35 in | Eurowise's recommendation for its 100 mm kit (listed for 2009–2015 G 550). Above 4 in, extended brake lines are required; expect the speedometer to read 5–8 mph off until re-coded and DISTRONIC to be affected |

A 2–3 inch lift with matched shocks clears 33s comfortably and stops a loaded truck sagging.
Fitment comes from owners and specialists; wheel width, offset, trimming and bump stops change what fits. Check clearance at full lock and full flex before you buy. Some links are affiliate links.
