Symptoms
A speed-related growl, play when you rock the wheel top to bottom, or an ABS fault. Worn bearings are also on every death-wobble checklist.
The fix, step by step
- Lift the corner, remove the wheel, caliper and rotor, unplug the ABS sensor, remove the axle nut and the hub-to-knuckle bolts, and pull the hub.
- Clean the knuckle bore, fit the new hub, and torque to the factory specification.
