1st Gen Dodge Ramcharger biggest tire size: stock and lifted

The biggest tire owners run on a Dodge Ramcharger (first generation) at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.

The short answer

Dodge's largest factory option was a 10-15LT, which the 1978 Macho package used. On Bring a Trailer, listings that mention no lift mostly show 31x10.50R15s. One Top Hand truck ran 32x11.50s, and a 1978 Trail Duster sold on 33x12.50R15s. On a later Ramcharger with the same Dana 44 and leaf-spring layout, an owner found 32x11.50s rubbed when the suspension twisted up. So call 31s safe and 32s the practical limit, and plan on an add-a-leaf or lift before you try 33s off-road.
