Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ biggest tire size: stock and lifted
The biggest tire owners run on a Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ at every lift height, with the trimming it takes, the wheel specs you need and the lift kits that get you there.
About 30 in. Factory sizes ran from 215/75R15 to 245/70R15 and 225/70R16, all roughly 28 in tall. A 30x9.50R15 is the practical limit on stock springs: one owner ran 30x9.50 BFGoodrich all-terrains on a stock '93 and said they came close to rubbing but didn't. Rough Country and Zone rate their 1.5–2 in spacer lifts for 30x9.50s, and Rough Country's 3.5 in kit for 31x10.50s.

Lift kits, wheels and tires for the Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ
Coil spacers or a short-arm kit add clearance for 30–31 in tires. Rough Country's 3.5 in kit lowers the transfer case to keep driveline angles in check.
Fitment comes from owners and specialists; wheel width, offset, trimming and bump stops change what fits. Check clearance at full lock and full flex before you buy. Some links are affiliate links.
