Symptoms
On the M112 V6 and M113 V8, vibration at idle, a wobbling crank pulley, cracked or bulging rubber, or belt chirp that changes with revs. If the outer ring separates you lose the belt drive.
The fix, step by step
- Remove the belt, lock the crank, and replace the balancer with a new centre bolt and front crank seal.
- Use a new balancer, not a used one.
